EMS Job Security... Web 2.0? Maybe you’re thinking, what happened to Web 1.0? Let's take a look at a number of web-based tools that many regard as great for use in Distance Learning, but may not be on your radar for use as adjuncts in the classroom. Learning Management Systems? Wikis? Blogs? Social Networking? Facebook, Twitter and Flickr? YouTube? Second Life? What are these things and what have they got to do with EMS and maybe more importantly how can they help me teach EMS? Answers to these questions and more…Be ready for an eye-opening look at what many of our children are already experiencing in school and what our new EMS students are expecting regarding the way they are taught! Web 2.0 is COLLABORATIVE and INTERACTIVE... so please add to these pages and lists as you find new resources. Change them as you too discover new tools/methods to share! This is designed to enhance the interactive nature of this learning experience. Hopefully this will expand our opportunities to share information and ideas! Facilitator: Doug Gadomski, BS EMT-P (doug.gadomski"at"gmail.com) Here's a few of the topics... what others grab your attention? How did you discover them? How do you use them in EMS teaching?
Special THANKS to Dr. Leigh Zeitz for a world of inspiration! |
